There's a common saying I see in a lot of profiles. It's that you "can't separate SL from RL", but I respectfully disagree. I can do so easily and it's a boundary I always keep in place. I do understand that many blur the line, or erase it completely, but I do not and I never will. While my avatar is a fun expression of my creativity, she is not me. She doesn't share my real-life features or traits. She never has and never will. She is entirely her own entity. For me, the joy of logging on Second Life is the pure escapism, which is why I have always kept the two worlds completely separated and will continue to do so. I appreciate those who respect that boundary.
