Assumptions are wrong in so many ways. Assuming things from the very beginning without having all the facts checked can make our judgments cloudy. Assuming things can take us to a dark place where everything is dark and blurry. The more we assume, the more we are moved away from the actual truth. Making assumptions, again and again, is repeating the same mistake till you get hurt. And like all dangerous things, assumptions can hurt us really badly. In fact, our assumption can affect someone else's wellbeing. Many people have lost their relationships, trustworthiness, and loyalty to assumptions. Regarding Second LIfe, there are 3 unique approaches: 1. Augmentationist - One whose avatar serves to make a real life connection with another real life person (a connection does not necessarily mean she/he is looking for a real life relationship, however sometimes it can lead to that). 2. Immersionist - One who self-identifies with their avatar, and who lives through its eyes in this world. 3. Roleplayer - One whose avatar is a fictional character in a shared storyline with other roleplayers. Whether you choose one or a combination of all three, is entirely up to you.
